On 13 October 2026, Silesian University in Opava will mark another year since its founding with its traditional Academic Day. Members of the university’s academic community will gather at the Church of St Wenceslas in Opava at 10:00 a.m. for a ceremony that will include the presentation of awards.
The afternoon and evening programme will also be open to the general public, featuring public lectures organised by the Institute of Physics in Opava, screenings and the Interactive Black Hole exhibition at Unisféra, and an informal evening gathering with the Rector of Silesian University in Opava.
